RISO ZINE WITH MONDAY NIGHT COLLECTIVE
A delightful recent project, part of the Monday Night Collective publications, where I worked on the theme 'Nocturne'.

The zine was riso printed which I had no previous experience with. The process is sort of laborious. You have to create a different image in black and white for each ink (teal and pink in our case)

I painted (by hand) in the colours we were going to use, superimposing them with a light box to see the effect of the two inks together. Then I converted them into black and white images with photoshop. A black and white file for each ink is what you give to the printer.

Our theme was 'nocturne' and I was interested in creating a narrative that was ambiguous, open-ended, dreamy, haunting...
